Iowa Wesleyan University is a four-year, liberal arts college related to the United Methodist Church. There are 16 majors available for undergraduate study with Elementary Education, Business and Nursing currently being the largest majors. Fine arts opportunities in art and music are available as well as numerous campus organizations reflecting the wide diversity among the students. Students are also offered a full range of athletic activities. The college is located in Mt. Pleasant, IA, a town with a population of 8,500. While the setting is rural the area provides superior cultural activities and health services. Iowa City is 45 miles to the north and Chicago and St. Louis are within a half day driving range.
