Franklin University was founded in Columbus, OH in 1902 and has served nontraditional students seeking to advance their education for more than 100 years. Franklin University is a student-centered, independent institution of lifelong higher education. The University offers 35 undergraduate majors (as well as several Graduate and Doctorate programs) to students who often work full or part time. The average age of a Franklin undergraduate student is 33. All of Franklin's degree programs are available online through accredited online programs. In fact, over 75% of our students take online classes. In addition, we offer a variety of course formats (3-, 6-, 12-, and 15-week) each trimester, enabling our students to attend full time while taking only 1 course at a time.
