Lee University is a private, comprehensive university located in Cleveland, Tennessee, in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Lee is emerging as a leader in higher education in the southeastern region and is consistently ranked in the "Top Tier" of the Best Regional Universities in the South by U.S. News & World Report. Lee is also ranked by Princeton Review's "Best Colleges," and is one of the 141 colleges named Best in the Southeast. The university's growing reputation as a quality institution can be seen in the high caliber of faculty, students, and friends who are drawn to the campus. While expanding its scope and programs, Lee has maintained its core purpose -- providing liberal arts and professional education, as evidenced through its Mission Statement: Lee University is a Christian institution which offers liberal arts and professional education on both the baccalaureate and master's levels. The mission provides a foundation for Lee's emphasis on teaching excellence, the residential campus experience, a commitment to diversity, and access for a wide range of students. Lee seeks to nurture the individual student holistically, and faculty and staff involvement with students in and out of the classroom is a priority. As the Mission Statement continues: The foundational purpose of all educational programs is to develop within the student knowledge, appreciation, understanding, ability and skills which will prepare them for responsible Christian living in the modern world. As part of its broader mission of preparing students for responsible living, Lee takes seriously the task of preparing students for global interdependence, fostering a respect for diversity and encouraging students to serve others. Lee offers 3 scholarships through the Tuition Exchange to incoming freshmen each year. The Tuition Exchange award is viewed as a merit scholarship and requires that recipients maintain a 2.0 GPA in order for the scholarship to be renewed. This tuition remission is not extended to tuition related to Study Abroad Programs and/or Global Perspective requirements. Application deadline is December 1 for the next Fall semester's award. Recipients will be notified by March 1 of their acceptance. Questions about the program should be directed to the Office of Human Resources.
No matter what youre interested in studying, theres a school on the list for you.
