Resurrection University has changed its name to Oak Point University. Oak Point offers world-class healthcare education in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago.
After 98 years in Oak Park, and formerly known as West Suburban College of Nursing, Oak Point, formerly known as Resurrection University moved to Chicago in 2013.
At Oak Point University, we provide the highest quality nursing, radiography and health information management education available. One of the few upper division institutions in the U.S., Oak Point allows students to transfer in their general education courses (associates and bachelor?s degrees from other program areas), and be admitted to Oak Point to just focus on their selected area of study. So, students usually earn bachelor's degrees in two years or less.
Our faculty members are experienced, accessible, and supportive of every student they instruct and our facilities feature the advanced technologies you would expect from a world-class university.
Unique About Oak Point:
Oak Point is the only nursing school in Chicago that offers a daytime, and an evening/weekend program. The daytime nursing program is only 16 months, and the evening/weekend nursing program is 20 months.
Oak Point has one of the highest percentages of male nursing students in the country. Each semester, we see 17-22% men.
Oak Point has a state-of-the-art Simulation Learning Center that?s 6200 square feet of modern technology where students learn on sophisticated, highly functioning manikins that are prompted to simulate symptoms: Some bleed, urinate, sweat, have pulses, pupil dilation, and simulate birth.
Oak Point appeals most to non-traditional, commuter students. The average age of our students is 30. Many are career changers who have children and families to support.
Oak Point is extremely diverse, and also offers small class sizes for more personalized attention.
