Additional Information
Temple University is the public university of Philadelphia. Established in 1884 as a school for working-class Philadelphians by founder Russell Conwell, Temple has grown to become of the top 50 largest universities in the United States of America, with campuses in Rome, Italy and Tokyo, Japan.

Fueled by dynamic research focused on transforming lives in the city of Philadelphia and beyond, Temple was elevated in 2016 to the top tier of the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education, placing Temple among the top 4% of all four-year institutions in America. In recent years, the University became home to its first Rhode scholar, its first Goldwater scholar, its first Carnegie fellow, and for three years in a row, placed among the top 50 Fulbright award winners.

The Main Campus of Temple is an urban oasis of calm, set against the backdrop of the Philadelphia skyline. Green space, parks and eclectic architecture ranging from the historic Temple Performing Arts Center to the ultra modern Charles Library, form a vibrant residential setting. Hundreds of student organizations thrive on campus including Temple?s powerful NCAA Division I athletic program.

Temple offers up to 10 Tuition Exchange scholarships a year that cover our base tuition amount ($16,488 for in-state residents or $29,712 for out-of-state and international residents). Each of our schools and colleges have varying tuition rates (which may be above our base tuition amount) so for more information, consult the Temple tuition calculator on our website.

Our deadline for consideration is February 1 each year. All Tuition Exchange candidates must submit their Common Application, FAFSA, and their certified Tuition Exchange Scholarship application by February 1.

For Temple faculty and staff who want to be considered for Tuition Exchange Scholarships at other colleges and universities, you must submit Tuition Exhange applications by November 1 for us to consider your eligibility and certify your employment with Temple University

No matter what you’re interested in studying, there’s a school on the list for you.
