Founded by the Felician Sisters of Michigan in 1937, Madonna University is one of the largest Franciscan independent universities in the country with approximately 3,000 students. Attractively situated on a 49 acre wooded campus in Livonia, a metropolitan suburb in southeastern Michigan, the University is within commuting distance to Ann Arbor, Detroit, Lansing, Toledo (Ohio) and Windsor, Ontario (Canada).
Madonna University is fortunate to have a dedicated group of faculty who represent both the institution and their professions. Faculty members bring to the classroom their own educational preparation, professional development and professional experiences. They truly allow learning to come alive for students; as students have the opportunity to apply and refine their skills and knowledge with supervision, while developing the attitudes necessary for personal and professional fulfillment. We know many students would benefit from this type of education, grounded with an ethical foundation.
