Additional Information
Thank you for your interest in Muhlenberg! We are a private, residential liberal arts college offering baccalaureate and graduate programs located in Allentown, PA. As part of eastern Pennsylvania?s scenic Lehigh Valley, Allentown is a diverse city of 125,000, located just 60 miles north of Philadelphia and 90 miles west of New York City. As the third largest city in the state, and along with neighboring Bethlehem and Easton, the region is home to a vibrant arts scene, extensive parks and recreational opportunities, and a rich blend of diverse cuisine.

We strongly encourage all applicants to meet with our Admissions team so we can learn more about you and answer any questions you may have about the admissions process and our wonderful campus. At Muhlenberg, we are committed to welcoming and supporting a diverse community of learners and educators within an inclusive environment, one that gives space for every voice and where everyone can feel respected and valued.

Tuition Exchange scholarships at Muhlenberg are awarded in two parts:

1) The tuition portion is awarded at the Set Rate value determined annually by Tuition Exchange Inc. ($41,000 for 2023-24). The tuition credit may also be applied to many, but not all, of our study abroad programs.

2) Additionally, credit is also given for standard room charges (estimated value for 23-24: $7,566) as long as the student elects to live in College-owned housing. College housing is available for all four years, and students may choose to apply the standard room credit to premium housing options. Premium housing options include suites with all single rooms and houses with full kitchen facilities on the perimeter of the campus. The room credit may not be used during periods of study abroad or when living in any non-college owned and billed housing (including fraternities and sororities).

The majority of TE scholarships are awarded to early decision candidates. We try to hold at least one TE slot for regular decision, but are not always able to do so. Depending upon the strength of the early decision applicant pool, we may choose to award all of our TE scholarships to early decision candidates - as such, there is no guarantee that any TE scholarships will remain for applicants in the regular decision pool. Further, due to the limited number of awards, there is no guarantee that an early decision admission acceptance will result in a TE scholarship.

If you have questions about TE at Muhlenberg, please contact Jill Walsh, TE Liaison, at jillwalsh@muhlenberg.edu.

We hope to see you on campus soon!

No matter what you’re interested in studying, there’s a school on the list for you.
