Belhaven University is a four-year, coeducational Christian liberal arts college located in Jackson, Mississippi. The mission of the University is to prepare men and women academically and spiritually to serve Christ Jesus in their careers, in human relationships and in the world of ideas. Belhaven has a heritage of Reformed higher education and welcomes students of all denominations and backgrounds. Belhaven's main campus is an integral part of one of Jackson's most unique residential neighborhoods, which has been declared a historic district by the city. Belhaven also has campuses in Memphis, Tennessee, Orlando, Florida, Atlanta, Georgia, Chattanooga, Tennessee and Houston, Texas as well as Online. The College offers six bachelor's degrees and four graduate degrees in 27 major areas of study. In addition to the traditional liberal arts curriculum, pre-professional programs are offered in dentistry, engineering, law, medicine, nursing, occupational therapy and physical therapy. Belhaven also offers an Associate of Arts degree. Christ-centered classes taught from a biblical worldview are key to learning at Belhaven. A worldview curriculum for freshman and sophomores offers a linear, integrated study of the great movements and ideas in history, literature, the fine arts, Bible, philosophy, and theology. It is the capstone to the College mission. Belhaven has a student/faculty ratio of 14 to 1. The intercollegiate athletic department of Belhaven College is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) - Division 3 - participating in 15 varsity sports for men and women.
