Additional Information

Perhaps best known as the alma mater of Jimmy Fallon, host of NBC's legendary Tonight Show, The College of Saint Rose is a place that values creativity, treats each student as an individual, and empowers students to achieve their full potential. With a rigorous liberal education curriculum, hands-on learning experiences, a wide variety of academic programs, and a mission of service to the urban community, Saint Rose has the character of a private college with the opportunities of a large university all in the heart of Albany, New York. Saint Rose has implemented a number of global initiatives including the building of the Center for International Programs. With a 14:1 student-to-faculty ratio, students are mentored by full-time faculty in their major. More than 90% of professors have the highest degrees in their field and engage in dynamic research with undergraduates. Accelerated programs enable students to earn their bachelor's/master's degrees in five years while retaining their undergraduate scholarships and grants. Before the first week of classes, incoming first-year students choose from four early arrival immersion programs in the arts, social justice and service, or leadership skill-building. Throughout their time at Saint Rose, students can live out the College's mission through service both in Albany and in alternative break trips to Washington D.C, New Orleans, Philadelphia, and Guatemala. Saint Rose ensures that students are job-ready with internships, undergraduate research, and hands-on learning opportunities. In the most recent Career Center survey, 98% of recent graduates said they were employed or continuing their education, and 97% said that Saint Rose prepared them for entrance into law and medical schools as well as highly competitive doctoral and master?s programs.
