SU as Anchor Institution
As an anchor institution in the city of Syracuse, Syracuse University is building on its historical strengths and pursuing collaborations that simultaneously enrich scholarship and research and change the face of this older industrial city. Through extensive partnerships with the public, private and non-profit sectors, we create meaningful opportunities for students and faculty to learn and discover, while tackling pressing issues in our city that resonate in our nation and world. The collaborations are focused in five key interlocking areas:
Arts, design, and technology Environmental sustainability Global collaborators Inclusive urban education Neighborhood and cultural entrepreneurship
Syracuse University reviews and approves students for a Tuition Exchange award who are certified by their home institution, If approved to receive a Tuition Exchange award, students will be notified and and will receive the award PROVIDED THEY ARE ADMITTED AS FULL TIME UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS THROUGH THE NORMAL ADMISSIONS PROCESS. Approval for the award may go out before the official admission decision and does not imply that the student is accepted. Approval for Tuition Exchange is not limited to entering students.
Tuition Exchange awards are only for full-time, undergraduate students.
Tuition Exchange students are eligible for Syracuse University's study abroad program (SU Abroad) after attending SU full-time for two consecutive semesters.
To be considered for need-based aid, students should file the CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
