Texas Lutheran University is primarily an undergraduate, private, coeducational university of the liberal arts and sciences, as well as professional studies, affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
Texas Lutheran University was founded in Brenham, Texas in 1891, and the institution moved to Seguin, TX in 1912 on a spacious 184-acre site.

TLU serves more than 1,400 students and approximately 65% of TLU students live on the main campus in the university's seven residence halls and eleven university-owned apartment buildings. More than 200 acres of parkland, four lakes, and the Guadalupe River are nearby. Seguin is 35 miles east of San Antonio (eighth largest city in the U.S.).
The student to faculty ratio is 14:1 and faculty serve as academic advisors - there are no teaching assistants or graduate assistants. Students receive a quality education at an affordable price.
