Additional Information
The University of Scranton is a Catholic and Jesuit university that is known for outstanding academic quality, a beautiful and technology-rich campus and a sense of community that helps students feel right at home. Our 58-acre hillside campus in northeastern Pennsylvania is just two hours from Philadelphia and New York City. The University offers 65 majors, over 80 clubs and activities, and 18 Division III athletic teams to the nearly 4,000 undergraduate students in attendance. Scranton develops leaders in every sense through rigorous preparation in students' chosen fields coupled with a commitment to educating the whole person in the liberal arts tradition. The University maintains a commitment to quality with a student-to-faculty ratio of just 10:1, an average class size of 21 and freshman retention rate of 89%. With an emphasis on service, social justice, ethics and integrity, our graduates are prepared to make a difference in society, with more than 47,000 alumni worldwide.

The tuition exchange policy pertains to the difference between the full tuition cost and the financial aid secured, except that, when combined, the total value will be extended to cover the cost of books and academic fees. The maximum allowance for books and academic fees is $250 per semester. Bookstore charge forms up to this amount will be issued by the Treasurer?s Office. Requests for authorization above $250 will be handled on a case-by-case basis by the Bursar.

No matter what you’re interested in studying, there’s a school on the list for you.
