Waynesburg University, located in western Pennsylvania, is an over 150-year old, Christian, liberal arts institution affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA). Located in a small community, the main campus sits next to the town's park with more than twelve acres of lawn and trees. The University is located 50 miles south of Pittsburgh and 30 miles north of Morgantown, West Virginia. Waynesburg University creates an academic and social atmosphere where strong connections in faith, learning and serving others through community service are valued and practiced. Undergraduates choose from over 40 areas of study, including nursing, forensic science, criminal justice, sports broadcasting, athletic training, and marine biology. With a total enrollment of approximately 1,500 students, small class sizes allow students to embrace many learning opportunities. The University also offers online graduate, adult learning and degree completion programs.
High schools students who are actively involved in community service are able to apply for the Bonner Scholars' Program. Waynesburg University participates in this rewarding and unique program, which provides scholarship aid to students who commit to weekly volunteer service. Regarding athletics, Waynesburg University is a Division III member of The National Collegiate Athletic Association and competes in the Presidents' Athletic Conference.
The University also has residence halls which provide students with apartment-style living arrangements. The residence halls overlook the Stover Campus Center, the Performing Arts Center (PAC), the newly renovated Recreational Facility and the Eberly Library.
