You and your family are welcomed to join us on campus for a visit to learn more about the UD community. The University of Dayton, founded in 1850 by the Roman Catholic order, the Society of Mary (Marianists), is the largest private school in Ohio. Our undergraduate student population is approximately 8300. We are dedicated to educating the whole person, graduating distinctive alumni, and committed to our mission as a Catholic, Marianist university. Nationally, UD is considered one of the 10 best Catholic universities. We offer 80 academic programs within four divisions: the College of Art & Sciences, the School of Business Administration, the School of Education and Health Sciences, and the School of Engineering. Our Campus Ministry program sponsors 35 student-run service clubs, spring-break service trips, and retreats. The many opportunities available at the University of Dayton include our Honors program, undergraduate research, investment & entrepreneurial leadership, community service (to the Church, the University, the city of Dayton, and internationally), club sports, Division I athletics (home of the Flyers),co-ops and internships, alumni networking & career services. Our student neighborhood consists of university-owned houses in the areas surrounding the campus and offers a treasured and unique residential experience. Tuition Exchange is extremely competitive at the University of Dayton. We offer between 6-9 T.E. awards annually, to incoming first year students only. Each year we receive approximately 100 T.E. applicants. Admission applications and submission of the FAFSA by our early action deadline of November 1 will receive priority consideration. Grade point average, a campus visit, and service to the community are considered when making T.E. offers. The Tuition Exchange scholarship value equals the T.E. set rate. of $40,000 for the 2022-23 school year. Tuition Exchange awards will be offered beginning in December for the 2022-23 school year.
