Connecticut College ranks consistently as one of the most selective small liberal arts colleges in the country. Each year, between sixty and seventy prospective first years apply for the Tuition Exchange benefit. The number of awards changes year-by-year and the award amount is the minimum set by the Tuition Exchange organization.

Successful applicants for the Connecticut College TUX program usually rank among the top 1-5% of their high school class with a combined SAT Reasoning score of 2080 or higher. Applicants for Tuition Exchange are encouraged to apply concurrently for financial aid, which is need-based.

The deadline to apply for TUX mirrors other application deadlines: Early Decision I: November 15th; Early Decision II: January 15th; and, Regular Decision: January 15th. Notification of the TUX decision accompanies the admission decision: Early Decision I: mid-December; Early Decision II: mid-February; and, Regular Decision: early April.
